Our client, Legal & General, is looking for an Integration Developer to work within the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) team on various projects. This team develop integration solutions for Enterprise and External Systems throughout the organisation using microservices.
The successful candidate will also be supporting with some devops tasks on the Redhat Openshift platform and a small element of 3rd line support. Whilst you will be reporting directly into the Integration Platform Lead, the projects are across all business areas integrating all LGIM's systems. This means you will be collaborating with a wide selection of people across LGIM.
Implement features, enhancements and improvements to Java-based applications in an agile environment.Take ownership for delivering your changes from test through to production environments by utilising CD deployment pipelines.Ensure the codebase stays at a high standard by participating in code reviews, writing unit tests, refactoring, security hardening etc.Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, users and production services to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.Keep stakeholders up to date with progress and blockers, provide estimates, decompose stories and so on, as per the agile methodology.Contribute to the culture of innovation and continuous improvement by implementing new ideas.Implement Unit Testing for all coding and then provide support to any Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing as deemed appropriate.Provide 3rd Line Support the day-to-day running of all Enterprise Services during office hours.Keep abreast of technological developments and new products.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in enterprise microservice development, along with some understanding of database and Front End development. The candidate should be familiar with on-premise and cloud implementation patterns. And have experience with Kafka.
Experience integrating systems and an understanding of EAI patterns and/or event-based systems will be beneficial. As would experience in kafka streams and ksqlDB.
The candidate's technical ability is key to successful delivery, however their communication and ability to collaborate will be a critical differentiator.

Initially a temporary contract for 6 months, however an extension may be made or a permanent role may be offered to successful candidates who are interested.Day rate of up to 620 (inside of IR35).The team are currently working remotely, however are starting to integrate back into the office so the role will require someone who is happy to attend the office in London (1 Coleman Street) for up to a couple of days a week for collaboration.
