SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a System Administrator to join our team to provide system administration and network administration for Ground-Based Air Defense (GBAD) software development and test suites within the GBAD Lab environment. Provide system administration and network administration for unclassified and classified test suites that utilize shipboard representative equipment and simulations to conduct software and integration testing.

Responsibilities:

Conduct vulnerability scans, analysis, remediation, and inventory activities and implement IA related remediation or mitigations required to maintain accreditation of Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) development environment. Additional tasks may include: document lab or ship system and network topologies propose the installation of software changes and hardware enhancements provide a solution to hardware failures and propose enhancements through collaboration with Fleet representatives, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) maintain patch update configuration log download, evaluate and install patches test system for functionality scan system with ACAS provide scans and STIGs to RMF team develop SRTM and SW/HW Baseline and associated STIG Matrix provide Software Version Description (SVD) provide implementation details for planned patches/vulnerabilities/security controls

Required Skills & Experience:

3 years of applicable system administration experience Be able to meet and maintain the requirements of the Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) policy for DoD Directive 8570 requirements of Information Assurance Technicians (IAT) Level 2 or higher with certification in an operating system and Information Security+ CE. This position shall also require an IT-1 level clearance and a Privileged Access Agreement (PAA). Operating System certification in Microsoft or Cisco IOS operating system environments Must have knowledge and experience providing IT support of systems and networks Must be willing to travel as required by the program Must be willing to work flexible times to support test events Ability to work within a government and contractor team environment Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to support GBAD testing at external land-based test sites as necessary

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows, Cisco IOS, and Linux operating systems Knowledge and experience with Virtual Machines (VMs) Knowledge and experience with Cisco Switches and network support Knowledge of Naval Surface Combat Systems and Weapon Control Systems Experience with the Information Assurance of government computer systems

Education: Current IAT Level 2 certification

Minimum Clearance: Active Secret clearance

Travel (if applicable): 10%
