Project Title:

Key Personnel to provide SAP Application (Basis) Engineering, maintenance and support; cloud migration activities; and new projects in support of the Phoenix SAP Program.

Summary of Work

The Judicial Council seeks the services of SAP Basis Administrator. The role requires experience creating technical requirements documents and project plans; reviewing and updating technical specifications for new technology deployments; providing support for third-party vendors and business partners; and performing maintenance and operations support. The role is responsible for the review and analysis of technology requests for new and existing Phoenix system interfaces and for identifying issues related to the development and maintenance of information technology systems that support business functions at the JCC and the courts. This position works on daily maintenance (including night, holidays, weekend and after hours), upgrade and patch implementation, enhancements and deployment, as well as on-going, long-term support of this state-wide application and the related SAP S/4HANA, BW on HANA, Solution Manager, and Portal environments hosted in Azure with supporting infrastructure at the CCTCs Tempe and Omaha locations.

Equipment Requirements

Note: If Candidate is required to provide laptop, then laptop must be configured with full disk encryption software to protect any agency data stored on the laptop. Support for all software installed on personal laptops, including encryption software, will be provided by vendor. Required laptop software includes Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Visio 2010 or newer.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.

Recent experience within government agencies or public bodies with projects of a similar type.

Description of Tasks and Responsibilities

1 Perform SAP Basis Administration duties, including (but not limited to):

Planning, preparation, installation of SAP applications;Upgrading SAP semi-annual releases and SAP Feature Support Packs;Performing SAP operational activities, setup, configuration, transports, troubleshooting, tuning and problem resolution;Actively monitoring SAP systems to ensure they are properly tuned and performing appropriately;Managing SAP account administration and user profiles;Tuning SAP system parameters to optimize the performance of the application;

Updating the tax rules using BSI application.

2 Perform SAP Application Engineering duties for Phoenix (SAP) systems:

Under the direction of the SAP Enterprise Architect. design/redesign the architecture for hardware and software that meets the requirement of the Phoenix program.Participate in the identification of requirements related to the procurement of services for the JCCPresent technical requirements and design to the ITSO Technology Team for approval

Plan for technical hardware and software changes

3 Create Work Order requirements documents and project plans for system integration/interface projects and all projects requiring third-party vendor assistance for specific Phoenix implementations.

4 Coordinate SAP change management requests and implementation with hosting providers and provide issue resolution for the 100+ SAP Production Interfaces which include banking, services, employee benefits, courts and external systems such as court case management systems and Uniform Civil Fees System (UCFS).

5 Lead the deployment of new functionality, applications and technologies by developing plans, coordinating with vendors and setting project timelines and priorities.

6 Lead and/or participate in project meetings with business units, courts, Enterprise Architects, Network and Security Teams, Phoenix Team, Managed Services Team and outside vendors.

7 Manage deployment projects for Phoenix desktop application rollouts and upgrades to Phoenix users at the JCC and courts.

8 Perform and advise on SAP Application Security Administrator duties

Make sure that the SAP application data is encrypted across the WANMaintain application authorizations for SAP and RWD for all end users of Phoenix

Create new roles in the application as per the business requirement

9 Perform Technical Lead activities for Phoenix Project:

Assign and review the technical work for SAP technical team members. Identify the technical tasks that need to be done by the teamProvide leadership to the technical process involving annual Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise at JC hosting vendors.

Review the technical procedures and steps executed during this disaster recovery exercise

10 Perform duties of the Technical Project Manager:

Create and maintain technical project plansParticipate in the meetings with JC hosting vendors

Monitor progress and report status to the Project Management Office (PMO)

11 Coordinate and lead project team meetings, problem resolution meetings and new functionality assessment meetings as required - weekly.

12 Coordinate the development of, contribute to and review system documentation and procedures- monthly.

13 Advise court users concerning system technical constraints, acceptance testing, performance criteria and complex design issues - as needed

14 Assist with troubleshooting court system compatibility issues with the Phoenix application - ongoing.

15 Collaborate with business users in the selection, acquisition and deployment of new technologies such as the Neopost automated mail processing application. Engage the product vendor to develop specifications, functionality and project deployment plans for implementation. -as needed.

16 Participate in the production of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposalsas needed

17 Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions - as needed.

18 Monthly status reports.
