A person who has good experience of AIX administration, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting. He will be responsible to perform AIX/Linux migrations from OnPrem to Cloud or Cloud to Cloud etc.
Discover and Assess AIX workloads in client environment using discovery tools
Provide technical recommendations to Lead Architects and Project managers
Prepare detailed plans and runbooks for the AIX technical activities
Plan and migrate the AIX/Linux workloads using CMM strategic tools
Perform configuration and validation of the AIX/Linux workloads after migration as per client requirements Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the various phases of the Cloud Migration
Work with cross functional teams across service lines and technologies
Develop automation and apply best practices for optimizing the migration programs

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Overall 10IT years, with minimum 7 years of experience in AIX in Client facing architect/consultant roles.
Should have minimum of 7 years of experience working as an AIX administrator in a large enterprise customer environment.
Demonstrated experience with AIX builds, NIM server and AIX backup & restore with mksysb backups
Strong hands-on experience with AIX LVM, AIX tcpip configuration, services and device management
Sound technical understanding of core AIX, PowerVM virtualization, PowerHA system mirror Must have hands-on experience with 1 or more large scale DC migration, DC consolidation or Cloud Migration projects on AIX/Linux
Must have experience with AIX major version upgrade (7.1 to 7.2, 6.1 to 7.1)
Knowledge of POWER7, POWER8 and POWER9 servers and their features
Understanding of any one Cloud Platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud etc).
Some understanding of related concepts like DB/SAP on AIX, Networking, and Storage would be an advantage
