Job Summary: The Cloud Engineer will work as part of a team that provides design, architecture, and migration planning for new customer projects. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for leading all the technical efforts to successfully migrate a new customer into the RapidScale platform. They will work very closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) for all new customer implementations.
Engineer will be responsible for providing migration support, which includes advanced troubleshooting, architectural design, and management of overall health of services migrating into the RapidScale managed cloud. The position will be a key factor in providing a great customer experience pre and post implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Duties include but are not limited to): Maintain multiple customer environments within RapidScales infrastructure (Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Horizon View/Horizon DaaS, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016, and Microsoft SQL 2014 and above). Provision new customers and provide onboarding assistance. Provide support on escalated trouble tickets when necessary. Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects, and improve overall performance. Document architectures, procedures, and processes for use by other cloud operators. Create documentation for helpdesk to use and remediate issues on first call. Compensation:Compensation includes a base salary of $95,000 - 105,000. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Qualifications: Qualifications - External Educational & Skills Requirements: A college degree or equivalent work experience (10+ years). Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope, requiring in-depth evaluation as well as the ability to identify problems in advance, and propose solutions. Require limited supervision and direction; drive results, and set priorities independently.
