Job Details

Job Summary:

The PLC Programmer will program automated machinery using programmable logic controllers (PLC). They will create design schematics, write and install computer programs, and test the efficacy of the installed programs across multiple automation systems.

Programing of new PLC controls systems for conveyor and robotic automation systems.
Support system installation, start-up, test, debug, and commissioning at vendor and/or client sites.
Specifies required hardware and software as required for each project.
Creates training and system documentation.
Leads training sessions to educate clients on proper use and maintenance of systems.
Required to be technical resource assistance to Sales, Project Management, and Client Services groups.
Provide remote support to clients and team members to troubleshoot system process problems.
Engage in after hours support for clients who are experiencing system outages.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Comfortable with Mechanical and Electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and follow AutoCAD drawings for system layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting.
Work independently at specifics tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.
Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Maintains positive relationships with key vendors and suppliers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
