How many times you sat down with one task in mind and ending doing other tasks and then it’s too late and you decide to delay the main task to the next day, here is an app that will help you called Pomodoro Time Management

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down periods of work into 25-minute intervals. [Source: Wikipedia]

This app helps you to apply the pomodoro technique, which includes easy to use timer, to start you just write what task you want to do and press start and the 25 minute timer goes on, after It finishes you have a 5 minute break, you can go drink something or call a friend or just scream for no reason, after that you must come back to work. After 4 pomodoros finishes, you will be given a 15 minute break.

Before you start using the app its advised to read the Pomodoro Technique official book, its free you can download it from http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/book/

Don’t think that once you start using any technique suddenly you will become the most productive person, you should put effort into it, the technique and tools is to make your basic efforts to become productive easier, so it’s essential you should practice to become more focused and realize the difference. I remember I had a friend in my first year in university, he was a very social person, he was very funny, so in his room he had a lot of visitors coming, many times he told me he wants to study but he didn’t have time because there was a lot of distractions, so his first year went really badly and he got bad marks, what he did he moved to another house, where he could have silence and no distractions and that’s also very important.

How can you apply the pomodoro technique if you get distracted a lot by external and internal events, its becomes really difficult, but the book explains how to deal with distractions when you are working in busy environments like in the office.

I liked the way you described the time management in such a precious way and manner. I have not heard of Pomodaro any time as I have managed to keep track of my time and have managed it with the cloud based Replicon's time tracking app - http://www.replicon.com/time-tracking-softwares.aspx which has ultimate functionalities to integrate with other apps as well that gets the end result with proper time management orientation.
