Designing datacenter networks is a daunting road. This course will provide you with the terminology and conceptual knowledge to start you on that journey.
This course will teach a number of the most commonly implemented enterprise routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP and how they relate to Cisco network design recommendations.
This course will teach a number of different layer 1 and layer 2 technologies that are commonly implemented on the Campus LAN including physical connectors and cabling, spanning-tree, VLANs, Switch Stacking and Cisco's Virtual Switching System.
This course will show you the basics of how to design a network including discussing the hierarchical design model, Cisco's Enterprise Architectural Model, and a review of how virtualization is and will be changing network design.
This course is part of a series of courses designed for network engineers interested in getting into network design vs. network implementation/maintenance.
