The top segment phones have really given the users nothing but the best that their money can buy. This segment focuses typically on the high end users who want nothing but the best and the brands have proved that they are here to make a mark. Samsung has become the leader in this pack and in all the other segments of the smart phone market internationally.

Last year the galaxy S3 from Samsung rewrote the record books by becoming the fastest selling smart phone ever with quite amazing sales figures in a very small time period. All the other brands had a hard time in trying to catch up but none could get even close. Then the year also saw the latest Android OS released in the form of the Android Jelly Bean OS which is now very much in demand in the top segment.

Samsung has released phones with the new OS and for all its other users with the older versions of the phones; it has come up with the OS updates. Though these are very easy to be updated and can be done by the user itself, one has to take care and make a back up if the saved data to avoid any loss of stored data.

Though many think that this might just be a minor update it isn't so and those who have used the phone know the merits of the new OS. Gesture typing, softer interface with project butter and a lot of other updates are a part of the changes that one is going to see on their S3 with the jelly bean OS. A new lock screen and new camera apps are just the beginning of a new experience that one can see with the Jelly bean OS.

Good news for the Samsung Galaxy S3 users as the new custom ROM for new OS is now available and it comes with tons of additional features and customization. While updating one should remember that the device should have at least 80 % power as you would not want the phone to just die off in between the update. The USB driver should be installed in your PC for the phone.

Also ensure that he clockwork mode is switched on. One should have a strong connection and download the ROM files which should be then transferred to the SD of the phone and then unzipped for installation by following the instructions on the screen.
