As the work never stops, so people require the internet at all times whether they are in the airport or at the restraint. At places where mobile networks fail, connecting to wi-fi come out as a better alternative. Wi-fi networks can be found at most places (conference room, hotels, malls). Well, it is not easy to get connected to the public wi-fi network. But, if you follow some tips and tricks, you can definitely open a public network wi-fi page. Check out these wonderful tips for connecting to the public network wi-fi:

1. Turn Off Other Third-Party DNS Servers

DNS (Domain Name Servers) servers match domain names to their specific IP address and allow opening of web pages. Without making any change in the particular IP address (that have format 50.102.110.23), you can visit websites and perform your work. Whether you have OpenDNS or Google DNS server, for availing better connectivity, you are required to turn it off. Just by clicking on the network panel, you can find DNS settings and remove other DNS servers (if any).

2. Try A New Network Location

In you are on a Mac, you don’t need to search for the existing DNS servers. Just by creating a new network location, you can get access to the public wi-fi network. The network locations store the network settings at different locations. Therefore, you need to use different DNS for creating a new network location while you are at the home or office. For creating a new network location, you should

- Open your System Preferences
-
In the network section, select Edit Locations
- Click on the +’’ icon for adding the new network location.

3. Open The Router’s Default Page

If you are unable to open the public wi-fi login page from a long time, you should try to open the router’s default page. An easy open for loading the router’s default page is by typing 127.1.1.1 or http://localhost in the URL (uniform resource locator). After this, if you get the default login page, it is ok. Else, you should check your computer’s IP address and enter it in the browser by replacing the last number with 1. However, if you again face problems, you should check the TCP/IP tab located in the network settings.

4. Restart Your System

One of the easiest tricks to solve network problems is to restart the computer, laptop or any other electronic device. Below are some ways for fixing the network problem with the help of restart process:

- Restart the system, turn off the wi-fi and again turn it on.
-
Restart, clear the browser cache and connect to the wifi.
-
Sign out from your account then sign back in and try the connection.

5. Open The Incognito Window

The window (in the browser) that does not store any data or cache is known as Incognito window. This window particularly eliminates the need of clearing the cache on different times. Browser cache is certainly a definite problem that allows prevention of network connection. After opening the incognito window, you should try to visit a non-HTTPS website such as stealmylogin.com. This website is non-secured and can be used without facing different problems. The benefit of visiting a non-HTTPS site is that it does not redirect the browser to the login screen. So, you can keep your data secure and connect to the public wifi page.

6. Look For A Secured Network

Most people find problems while connecting to unsecured wi-fi networks. Unlike public and open networks, secured networks contain specific encryption. If you type the password once and get connected, you are never required to do it again as it will be remembered by your system. So, always search for secured networks and perform browsing at a fabulous speed.

Wrapping Up

If you follow some tips and tricks, you can easily get connected and open the public wi-fi network login page. You should check your network settings and disconnect other DNS servers if they are connected. After reviewing your DNS network settings, you should try for creating a new network location. If you type http://localhost in the browser or type any non-https website in the incognito window, you can head over to the login screen. If you fail to fix the issue with these things, you should try the restart option. So, look for secured networks for maintaining a better, seamless connection.
