Today any startup and organization require productive applications such as Evernote or Dropbox to be more efficient, work as a team and keep the staff connected and synchronized, so today we will talk about " Asana ", an application for web and mobile devices that starts at receiving more attention
What is Asana?
Asana is a great tool for managing tasks and projects, allowing teams to share, plan, organize, and track the progress of the tasks in which each member is working. Asana is a very simple and easy to use the web application, and without doubt one of the best task management tools we have seen so far.
Why?
During our life, we have had to work in a group, and surely we will have caught him sometimes because of the disorganization of the group, generating many headaches. Asana can help us manage our workgroups.
In the panel on the left we can see the main menu, where we can find My Task (My tasks), My Dashboard (Our whiteboards/projects) and Team Conversations and Team Calendar, which is a common space for the members of all the blackboards Below, we will find all the projects.
Let's start with the My Task panel:
In it, we can see the tasks assigned to us and sort them by priority, by projects or by dates. We can also see them on the calendar which is quite useful.
In the My Dashboard panel we will see all the projects in which we are involved and add new ones.
Another important section of Asana is the project panel, where we can see all the projects of the team.
When selecting any, we will have a view similar to that of My Task, but with the tasks of that project.
And finally, and for me, the part that differentiates Asana from the rest, the team's panel.
In it, we can have group conversations and a calendar in which all the tasks of all the projects appear. The latter is very useful to have everything under control.
Why Asana and not Trello?
Trello and Asana are similar, but not the same. Each one has particularities that make it better or worse depending on the organization of your company.
Pros of Asana
- You can add several tags to the tasks.
- A group calendar in which to visualize all the tasks.
- Good keyboard shortcuts
- Group talk panel.
- Pros of Trello
- Kanban flow implemented.
- A task can belong to more than one person.
- It has an API with which the Trello functionality can be extended.
- A more complete mobile app.
- Which one should I use?
That's what you have to decide. It depends on how your workgroup is organized.
Summing up a lot:
Bridge24 for Asana is a very good tool for the CEO since it can have everything controlled without much complication and assign tasks.
Trello is more flexible but more difficult to monitor by a single person.
