ABOUT THE JOB
GreatCall is seeking a Sr. SQA Engineer who can influence and shape quality in all aspects of software development. We are looking for someone with a passion for quality that can assist in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team. A successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of quality assurance including in-depth knowledge of different testing methodologies, be able to develop quality and test plans, maintain and enhance testing scripts, mentor team members, create and foster an environment of collaboration and positive team atmosphere, and have the passion and follow-through to identify opportunities to improve processes. We are looking for someone who thrives on a test-it-to-break-it mentality that will advocate on behalf of the customer to ensure we deliver high quality products.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities Mentor and influence team in quality mindset, test case management, test methodology and automation tools Drive higher quality through clear and thorough test plans and scripts Develop, maintain and own test plans for multiple products Research, analyze, track, and report on code defects Mentor and assist in test case management, test methodology and automation tools Troubleshoot and resolve environment issues (integration, test, staging, production) Support the development of black and White Box testing strategies, automation tools and technology solutions Implement and contribute to improvements in test planning, process, and test case management Other duties as assigned
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of formal SQA experience required Prior experience as a team lead preferred Prior experience working on Agile teams, processes, methodologies preferred Prior experience delivering high availability enterprise software products preferred Prior experience with multiple database technologies (SQL Server, MongoDB) preferred
Ability to develop and execute and contribute toe test harnesses, automation tools and technologies (SQL scripts, RESTful API, JUnit/JTest) Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS implementations Demonstrated leadership Strong communication and collaboration skills Organized and detail oriented Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong Customer service skills and ability to resolve conflict Strong Agile testing methodologies Familiarity with continuous delivery processes and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Octopus)
