They are building Gigabit cities from the ground up which in turn support mobile operators, businesses and homes enabling the UK access to superfast fibre creating a super-connected society.

With a salary of 85,000 - 90,000 depending on experience, you'll also receive benefits including 25 days holiday, car allowance, a day off on your birthday, bonus scheme and private healthcare.
You'll be accountable for both the mobilisation and subsequent build of fibre cities as stated in the Build Plan, understanding how best to support, and where necessary, develop the strategic build partner to ensure the contractor is ideally placed to underpin our long-term requirements. Through effective account management, you'll ensure that the strategic build partner achieves the required productivity and throughput to deliver the maximum stated peak build rate per footprint, without compromising quality.
Taking full responsibility for the key relationships with their infrastructure build partners, this role as Senior Area Build Manager will drive an integrated approach to ensure that the performance of the company respective contractor partners are consistently effective, efficient and in line with the defined delivery city plans. This will work within the cross-functional Matrix team to focus on driving down Cost Per Premise in line with agreed targets.
You'll be developing and maintaining a set of effective internal senior stakeholder relationships across the company as well quickly establishing effective, direct, comprehensive and deep working relationships with build partners and the Local Authority, leveraging all stakeholder groups to improve cycle time of delivery.
By delivering and maintaining accurate delivery forecasting as the cornerstone of the team's approach, you'll ensure that the business and customer expectations are being achieved. The Senior Area Build Manager is responsible for regular, accurate and comprehensive performance reporting, and will identify and drive required actions to ensure performance requirements and KPIs are fully met by both the strategic partner and their internal teams.
You'll have previous experience managing large and complex delivery programmes through partners and suppliers, and a proven track record delivering medium to large multi-site client projects, managing capital budgets in excess of 50m.

Leadership and management of multi-site teams - strong leadership and example setting skills Experience of building and managing strong senior-level relationships internally and externally (eg Councils) in order to influence and drive the right outputs to meet the business plan Experience of creating, reviewing and providing comprehensive forecasting data and performance reporting to ensure business and customer expectations are being achieved Demonstrable experience of leadership in a role where KPIs such as Time, Cost and Quality are key to success Experience of recognised project management methodology (Prince2 or APM qualified) Excellent presentation skills Ability to negotiate suitable outcomes that mitigate project risk Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Demonstrable experience of method statements and risk assessments Commercial experience using revenue models, P&L, and cost-to-completion projections Ability to demonstrate experience and working knowledge of CDM Regulations Understanding of the New Roads & Streetworks Act 1991(NRSWA) An understanding of operating complex construction framework
