SQL Developer required by a leading company within the manufacturing sector to take ownership of the management and development of the company Servers and bespoke database systems. The SQL Developer will be extremely personable, proactive, thrive in a technically challenging environment with the ability to explain issues in a non-technical way to all levels of staff. They will be within a team of 4 and working directly alongside an additional SQL Developer.
The SQL Developer will be completely responsible for all company systems that are SQL based this will involve requirement gathering and performing the full life cycle of development including maintenance and training end users on any changes. The SQL Developer will be an expert in all things SQL including deadlocking, log shipping, DBCC commands amongst other SQL related tasks. The SQL Developer will be involved in performance tuning and query optimisation of the upcoming Field Service Management project and suggesting ways of improving the performance. They will have prior experience of Qlik and monitoring job schedulers.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proficient in all aspects of SQL Skilled using tools such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, Qlikview Knowledgeable in Power BI and performance management tools such as Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and Quest Foglight Experienced in operating systems, networks, disaster recovery, security and maintenance
