Supports the Joint Service Provider (JSP) network operations and engineering team in Hampton Roads. JSP HR supports two networks comprised of about 250 devices per network. The devices consist of Cisco routers, switches, DWDMs, F5 network load balancers and ViaSAT, L-3 Communications, and General Dynamic encryption devices.
Perform network management to include controlling, planning, allocating, deploying coordinating and monitor resources.
Coordinate transport layer and infrastructure outages/changes/concerns with other organizations to promptly troubleshoot and resolve issues in order to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Provide support for add/move changes by assigning IP addresses, configuring switch ports, configuration Routers to provide connectivity to endpoints.
Maintain a daily operations log documenting significant events affecting network operations and application services availability.
Conduct technical infrastructure integration/troubleshooting analysis for new network devices (eg routers, switches, load balancers, encryption devices, and network management tools) IAW JSP SOPs to maintain current SLAs.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Network Operations monitoring.
Perform testing for new patches, configuration settings, all IAVAs, Operating Systems (OS) and application upgrades on the JSP networks.
Perform IA assessment on network devices.
Provide After Action Report (AAR) on outages affecting more than 15 users. There is approximately one significant event per week.
Troubleshoot, configure, monitor, and maintain F5 network load balancers.
Perform technical analysis and remediation to meet and support DoDI 8510.01 security Site Assistance Visits (SAVs) and Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs).

EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, certification.


SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of network operations to include configuring routers, switches, encryption devices within a DOD environment.
Must possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve connectivity/equipment issues.
Must possess DOD 8570.01m IAT level II Certification: CompTIA Security+CE, CCNA
