We are looking for an articulate, experienced, passionate Technical Program Manager to work closely with our teams in a hands-on role to drive our projects across our main development sites in Poland and the UK. This is an opportunity to create new product offerings from end-to-end, working with gifted, high-calibre staff to bring them all the way through to market. The position is based in Seattle.
This role will give you the opportunity to work within the Amazon Digital Products department which has developed entire digital businesses from Amazon Music, to Video on Demand, IMDB, the Fire TV, and the Kindle Fire - all the way through to the hugely successful Amazon Echo. We are a multidisciplinary development team - working across the boundaries of technology, language and culture - to identify those common components which yield to bleeding-edge compute power and linguistic techniques, to drive solutions which our friends and families around the world use as part of their daily lives.
Our Alexa Text-to-Speech (TTS) team researches, develops and delivers cutting-edge, multi-language, speech-synthesis technology which is world-leading in voice quality, accuracy and ease of use. As a team of creative linguistic, software and audio engineers - we successfully combine our passion, technical skills and ambition to create one of the best speech synthesizers in the world. Basic Qualifications * Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Science or related technical field or equivalent professional or military experience * 3+ years of experience in Technical Program Management of software development projects * Experience of creating and executing development processes * Proven record of creating and tracking high and low-level development schedules * Experience synthesizing and presenting data to upper management - providing strategic recommendations * Able to write scripts, create pipelines and analyse data programmatically for analysis and decision making * Experience of scrum and kanban methods and running projects within an agile organisation * Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
