We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior System Administrator
Experience on Enterprise Storage Management, with 5- 8 years of relevant experience in NetApp Storage Support (7-Mode and cDOT ) Create and manage scripts to automate the administrative tasks and provide system level reports Perform analysis and develop solutions based on established service agreements for NetApp capacity planning and performance tuning. Ensure in solutions and deployments of the security of NetApp infrastructure and compliance with all applicable security standards Understanding of Microsoft Windows environment, including Active Directory, DFS Namespace, CIFS file sharing, and windows clustering Oversee projects that expand, change, or improve the systems and related infrastructure. Provide assistance in reviewing performance and capacity requests as well as design solution resolution. Understand advances / changes in the technology industry and work directly with the vendors to assess new technologies. Contribute as necessary in a hands-on manner with the implementation of solutions in support of all projects. Work with other infrastructure teams for new systems designed and engineered. Provide system support and troubleshooting expertise as needed for designed solutions. Perform other duties and special projects as required. Leverage experience to provide input to improvements (People, Process, Tools, and Technology) in the environment, and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks Resolve complex NAS issues independently; coordinate and communicate changes and issues with the client and team members and determine root cause Should have in-depth knowledge of OnCommand tools (OCI, WFA, OCUM, OPM etc.) Should have experience of working closely with Incident Management, Change Management teams and provide in-depth root cause analysis as necessary within specialist realms. Should be open for 24*7 and weekend on-call support Knowledge of SAN fabrics, CISCO experience Knowledge of ISCSI and FC. Understanding of VMware infrastructure specifically datastore provisioning and configuration Experience managing backup infrastructure; NetBackup version 7 or higher preferred General understanding of networking concepts such as VLAN, trunking, LACP, IP addressing and routing Advanced knowledge of file services administration and permissions management and file auditing Understand procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection.
Ensure vendors and services providers are providing optimal value to HSBC Reviews and evaluates the teams work Creates, maintains and/or contributes to the definition and documentation of any IT standard or service catalog item under teams purview Leads efforts to improve processes and meet strategic goals within the team Develop team, technology and process roadmaps Ensures team follows IT processes including Change Release management Oversees NAS performance and capacity by monitoring, alerting and reporting.
