Role purpose

The candidate will be responsible to understand the Customer requirements mentioned in Order and need to perform thorough check/feasibility including end to end capacity check during planning, in addition to Layer 2 transmission planning coordination with various teams like CST/ Engineering / Capacity Management is must . Gather and analyse Customer specific requirements and based on those inputs plan the services on different platform like SDH / PDH / DWDM (Optical) / MSP / ATM / DSLAM Networks and NGN networks as per routing guidelines/deployment rules .

Candidate will be responsible to lead complex customer projects. He/she is expected to have technical expertise on current platforms and processes so that he/she works as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team. The person will be responsible to lead escalations and must demonstrate Colt values at all stages.

Need to be familiar with multiple applications used within Colt like Siebel , XNG , XTRAC , Google earth (.KMZ) etc..

Key accountabilities

Section 1Core Tasks

Planning of circuits over COLTs Optical Wave/ Packet , PDH / SDH / DWDM / MSP / Ethernet / NGN / DSLAM based Networks, against customer contracts
Ensure KPI conformance > 99%.
Maintain a high quality of output and ensure completion of tasks with a target of zero errors.
Real time closure of Order Handling System, Siebel XTRAC (workflow tools) tasks.
Real time updating XNG Database Systems.
Interfacing with peer groups within SD teams.

Section 2 - Additional Responsibilities

Transitioning of tasks from EU to India as per defined plans
Managing escalations / issues on daily basis.
Perform quality check and drive initiatives to improve quality / accuracy at provisioning stage.

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

Good knowledge of Transmission- Layer 2, Fiber Optics, Packet Optical Network PDH / SDH / DWDM / Ethernet / EoSDH and EoMSP
Ensure 100% of Quality of deliverables / On time delivery
Experience in Planning / installations commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on PDH / SDH, DWDM,and EoSDH)
Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data, Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.
Knowledge of Ethernet, TDM and IP principles and practices
Excellent customer facing skills / Good time management skills
Good working knowledge on MSOffice (Word, PPT Excel) and other tools used for day 2 day administrative tasks.
European language awareness like German or French will be preferred.

Role specific requirements

Skills Experience

The ideal candidate with 5-8 years of relevant industry experience in Planning (Access and Core Network) ..Good understanding/Knowledge on installations commissioning / testing / NOC environment (on PDH / SDH, DWDM and EoSDH), and have practical experience of Bandwidth provisioning and testing. Knowledge on MSP NGN technologies will be preferred.

Excellent knowledge of Transmission, Ethernet / DWDM / OTN / MSP / M MSP / DSLAM Networks / NG Packet Network Technologies.
Excellent understanding of Metro-Ethernet technologies and MPLS based L2 VPN services (Ethernet P2P or P2MP)
Good knowledge of various interface used to deliver Data, Voice and IP based circuits on transmission network.

Working Hours : Will be required to work in shift environment (covering India and EU shift timings)
Travel Requirements: As per Business needs. Should possess a valid Passport.
