Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Lead vacancy in large public sector organisation in Birmingham 50,000 - 55,000 per annum plus 30 days annual leave, generous pension scheme and hybrid working pattern
Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation to recruit an Oracle Functional Lead on a permanent basis.
Our client has implemented a new online, Oracle cloud-based system providing modern and enhanced functionality for HR, finance, payroll and research activities and they are now looking for a candidate who can work with them to ensure that the functionality is updated and optimised over time so that it remains fully aligned to the current and future business needs.
The Functional Lead is responsible for recommending how the use of the system can be optimised requiring a close alignment with business-as-usual-elements. It will also include maintaining knowledge of the Oracle Roadmap and detailed understanding of the next Quarterly Release to influence the priorities around adoption of new features and enhancements as well as understanding the root cause of defects. To achieve this, you will need to maintain effective working relationships with the Subject Matter Experts and Process Owners within the broader organisation to ensure that their feedback is central to priority setting.
This will involve a detailed understanding of the relevant business processes and a deep knowledge of the system functionality in order to be able to identify system and process improvements and make changes to system configuration, as and when required. As well as expertise in the functional area you will also become an expert in Web Centre Content (Oracle Document Management system), reporting with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA), Cloud-to-Cloud integrations, integrations to other systems, output documents and UPK (Oracle training platform).
In order to apply, you must have the following skills and experience:
. Relevant degree or equivalent experience. . Membership of a recognised Professional Body (eg - ATT, CIPD, CIPP) is desirable. . Previous experience in an Oracle Functional Lead role or equivalent. . Experience and expertise with Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM and Payroll modules. . Relevant professional experience preferably in Higher Education, a comparable complex public sector body or significant commercial organisation. . Knowledge and experience of Oracle ERP/HRP system implementations. . Ability to think strategically, providing input to workshops and planning meetings. . A creative and enthusiastic approach to problem solving and process improvement activities. . Ability to prioritise work, particularly under pressure.
