Were looking for aCloud Networking Architect to join our AVCT Kandy team reporting to the Director of Architecture and Operations. The ideal candidate will be directly involved in the definition, design, and deployment of public, hybrid and private Cloud instances of our AVCT Kandy Business Solution service environments. Security will be top of mind as you deliver well-structured solutions for network switches and routers, gateways, firewalls, WAN interconnects, and end-to-end designs for our global Kandy Cloud footprint. We are expanding our cloud service capabilities and believe there is an IT/Networking and Security guru to lead resolution to the challenges we face.

Our existing Public Cloud delivers Real-Time Communications services to businesses around the world. Youll be part of the team that is driving global success for existing customers, and expanding our footprint into new cloud models (i.e. Private, Hybrid, and Cloud-Native) with large service providers. To make this a reality, youll be responsible for implementing the design, working with our LabOps team to implement it in our lab environment, and working with our Cloud Operations team to roll designs out into our production environments ensuring service reliability and stability are maintained during the transition.

Responsibilities

Design, configure and troubleshoot products that work to make the Kandy Services including IP Switching, Routing, WAN Interconnects for both Private Customer Circuits and service backbone.Interaction with Kandy product design teams.Interaction with Kandy service architects.Scripting and automation to improve service implementation, network troubleshooting, network self-healing.Interaction with Kandy product support teams to escalate issues within the product teams found in new service design.Interaction with relevant 3rd party support teams which are combined in Kandy as part of the service offerings.Documentation of current and future designs for relevant projects.Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Telecommunications, or similar area.

5+ years experience in network architecture.

Sound knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (i.e. OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.), MPLS, QoS, Multicast, VLAN, VPLS and VPRN.

Strong technical background with excellent knowledge of Cloud Service Provider systems and networks.

Understanding of Real-Time Communications services, UCaaS, CPaaS, CCaaS, and how the networking layer relates to service quality.

Preferred industry recognized technical certifications/designations will be preferred such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (ASAE)

Proficient in written and spoken English language.

Strong adherence to secure process improvement practices and documentation.

Development skills focused on Service Provider IP network devices maintenance, configuration and monitoring tasks.

SSCA SIP School Certificate Associate Certification or WSQI WebRTC School Qualified Integrator program.

ISO 27001 best practices follow up and controls knowledge.

Knowledge in DevOps ways of working, that help in the transition of current architecture to operations model to improve the workflow and automation practices for the operations team.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
