Network Security Analyst | London | 12 Month Contract (inside IR35) | 500 - 550 per day | Financial Services.

This is a great opportunity for a Network Security Analyst to join a well known Financial Services client based in a prime London location (WFH options). As the Network Security Analyst your role will be to maintain, monitor, support and optimise the network infrastructure and its security across its life cycle. The contract has great scope for progression and has a very good chance of extension due to the nature of the work.

Main Requirements as the Network Security Analyst:

Palo Alto Networking (Firewalls & routing and switching) EIGRP Web Proxy Cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure) Cisco Qualifications (CCNA or similar)

Principal duties as the Network Security Analyst:

Detect, isolate, notify, and correct faults encountered in the network Configuration aspects of network devices such as configuration file management, inventory management, and software management. Monitor and measure various aspects of performance so that overall performance can be maintained at an acceptable level Provide access to network devices and corporate resources to authorized individuals Network Security Implementation Maintenance of network security and associated controls Usage information of network resources Assist with network enhancement projects Provide network and network security expertise to other business projects.

Skills and Experiences needed as the Network Security Analyst:

Good knowledge of L2 and L3 technologies and protocols (like STP, VTP, EIGRP, BGP and Multicast); Good Core Networking knowledge, such as Firewalls, routing, switching, TCP/IP Stack, network communications. Good knowledge of Multicast and Data Centre Interconnection protocols (like PIM, MSDP, OTV); Good knowledge of Security appliances and protocols (like Firewalls L3-L7, IPS, Proxy, and others); Hands-on experience with Panorama/Palo Alto Firewalls Good knowledge of VPN technologies and protocols (like RA, S2S, IPsec); Good knowledge of Load Balancing technologies (F5)
