The Hartford is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a Senior DataPower Lead to support the Enterprise Middleware Integration (EMI) Platform Engineering team within the Infrastructure organization. As a senior level position, the candidate will be responsible for developing standards and best practices for the use of Middleware tools and technology in our API Managed Platform, and assist with driving strategic decisions such as evaluating new technology and features, and helping to define development standards and governance processes. The candidate will also be responsible for guiding application developers and team members on proper Middleware interface design
The candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work well independently, and have extensive experience with Middleware concepts and technologies.
Build and support Middleware solutions using IBM's DataPower, MQ, IIB, and API Connectivity technologiesCreate unit test cases, test scripts, & test logsDevelop and maintain processes and procedures supporting the EMI governance development lifecycle.Review and approve application developers' objects as part of the governance review boardHelp resolve defects and improve overall quality of Middleware applicationsAutomate development processes using standard Dev/Op's tools such as Jenkins and uDeployConsult with invest project leads and architects to develop design solutionsDesign and promote processes, procedures, policies, standards, and best practicesHelp with the strategic direction for our Middleware integration platformsParticipate in required training and assessmentsIntegrate process improvements into the way we do our workSupport cloud migration activities
