We have an opening for a DBA role. The DBA position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with exceptional time management and communication skills to simultaneously support multiple initiatives.


Design, implement and maintain database security based on company policy, best practices and any regulatory requirementsDiagnose and troubleshoot database errorsRecommend and implement emerging database technologiesCreate automation for repeating database tasksCreate and maintain database backup plansBe available for on-call and after hours support as neededConquer Day-to-day Operational Aspects:Performance monitoring/tuningBackup strategiesQuery tuningResolve database performance issues using all available tools and take corrective actions when necessaryCommunicate to business customers, technical teams and management in a consistent manner making complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple and understandableComply with customer SLA and Change Management processes

Required Experience/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years' experience as Oracle DBAImplement and manage company data management practices and policies5 years of experience in administering, managing and tuning databasesGood understanding of database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenanceStrong experience doing performance tuning, backup - recovery, security, optimization, disaster recoveryProven track record managing multiple database instances simultaneouslyAbility to monitor the database and analyze error logs while leveraging troubleshooting skillsFamiliar with user permissions, audits, security and minimizing vulnerabilities within the databaseAbility to produce clear documentation around reoccurring processesWorking in hospital system environmentExperience in Cerner/Oracle hospital environment (client hosted environment)Cerner enterprise experience (Millennium or IT Works)Experience working remote
