Mt Sinai Network Services is looking for a Senior Data Center Network Engineer to join the team support our three data centers, two located in Manhattan and one in Northern New Jersey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience working in an enterprise environment with at least 5 years working in data centers.Hands on experience with Cisco's ACI environment, policy orchestration including switch policies, interface policies, ANP, AEPs, Virtual, Physical and External Domains, Bridge. Domains, EPG, Contracts, subjects and filtersExpert knowledge in Cisco's Nexus Platform 9K, 7K, 6K, 2K, etc.Working knowledge of Cisco's Fabric Interface (FI) Platform including experience with Hyperconverged platforms eg) Cisco Hyperflex, UCS, Nutanix etc.Working experience with NX-OS, vPC and Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV).A strong working knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.Knowledge of key data center areas (1) Storage eg ( Islion, NetApp, Pure) (2) Virtual Environments e..g. (VMware and Nutanix) and (3) Backup eg (NetBackup and Cohesity.Experience with cloud service providers eg) AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle and firewalls would be a plusBe able to work as part of a time and have good verbal and written communication skillsBe able to interact with management and end users in troubleshooting and project requestsProvides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Works closely with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (eg, host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solutions for the systems design. Performs analysis and system design. May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code through the use of program development software alternatives and/or integrates purchased solutions. Documents, tests, implements and provides on-going support for the applications. Provides highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies that assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

Education Requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Master's degree preferred. Experience Requirements The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience working in an enterprise environment with at least 5 years working in enterprise data centers. General Skills and Competencies Requires an in-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client area's functions and systems, and applications program development technological alternatives. Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system design and implementation. Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.
