Project APEX is defining the future of Dell Technologies and the APEX Console is the central pane of glass for delivering all as-a-Service offers to our customers. It's a singular orchestration platform across the company for our customers to engage with Dell Technologies.

The Cloud Analytics teams mission is to optimize customer experiences and maximize the potential of our offerings by building recommendation engines and leading cross-domain analytics projects for the APEX Console and associated offerings. We are looking for a senior data scientist to help lead our AI/ML and predictive analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Develops and applies a broad range of techniques and theories from statistics, machine learning, and Business Intelligence to deliver actionable business insights to prospects and customers based on large-scale data.Works under little to no supervision with internal and external teams to understand customer requirements.Leads and performs end-to-end steps involved in model development, while establishing subject-matter expertise in key horizontal or vertical themes.Executes preliminary data exploration, data preparation steps and variable/algorithm selection as well as model development/validation and scoring.Independently develops and drives testing of algorithms efficacy for differing analytical use-cases.Generates new product requirements for the engineering group to enhance the analytics capabilities of the big data platform, in alignment with emerging subject-matter expertise.Delivers results and presentations in a timely manner.

Essential Requirements

8+ years or 6+ years with a Master's degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science or a related quantitative field.

Demonstrated ability to deliver and lead enterprise grade machine learning solutions for large scale environments.

Demonstrated experience with recommendation systems.Demonstrated experience with multiple ML algorithms: eg, Clustering, Regularization, Bayesian inference, Decision Tree, Deep Learning, etc.Strong background in data pipeline, distributed data processing (such as spark), cloud computing, working with small and big data sets.Strong software development experience in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, C++.Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies.

Desirable Requirements

Experience with SQL, NoSQL database and coding.Experience with big data analytics technology such as Hadoop, Spark and related modules preferable.High level understanding of systems modeling and product lifecycle.
