Our application estate is comprised mainly of commercially available off the shelf software packages best suited to Schroders' operational needs, complemented by a number of internally developed proprietary systems to support the specific needs of the clients and products that our colleagues support. In order to ensure that the emergent technology needs of our clients, regulators and internal stakeholders are able to be met quickly and effectively without compromising the stability and security of our platforms, Schroders is undertaking the Leading Enterprise Agile Programme (LEAP) within Global Technology, specifically we are implementing a bespoke agile operating model, based on the SAFe methodology, which ensures that technology support and infrastructure is unaffected and the requisite governance and control is in place.
Corporate IT is one of the key functions within Global Technology supporting the Corporate Functions - Finance, HR, Procurement, Compliance and Risk.
Role Overview
Working within the Reporting and Data Warehouse work stream of the Finance programme we are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with experience on data and reporting projects to support the development of the new Finance Reporting and Data Warehouse Solution.
Key Responsibilities Include;
Gain an understanding of Schroders Asset Management/Wealth management businesses and associated systems/data in order to inform project requirements/design.Work with the business and programme wide technical teams to capture and document requirements/user stories.Production of/updates to functional specifications aligned to the Data warehouse and associated Master Data Management and Integration systems.Perform data analysis and data profiling to inform the warehouse solution around data quality/error handling.Production of interface specifications and source to target mapping including updates to the existing Data Dictionary and data interface inventory.Support production and design of reports, processes and training materials.Support of the full project life cycle including testing.
Candidates must have;
Experience on Data related projects (Data Warehousing/Master Data Management etc)Relevant business experience in Finance/Wealth Management/Asset ManagementExcellent Data Analysis skills (and associated tooling - excel, SQL)Strong stakeholder management skillsAbility to prioritise multiple requests for support and deliver solutions quickly and accuratelyAbility to articulate specific functional or technical specificationsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyAbility to work with both business and technical groups.
