The Data Analyst III role is part of the Tech Ops team under the Service Assurance Tools, Telemetry, Process and Training department, focusing on department analysis, reporting and post-deployment quality control. An expert in reporting, analysis, and metrics with advanced understanding Typically assigned to larger, highly complex projects requiring independent decision-making. Partners with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact operational results. This role will analyze data related to Service Assurance teams supporting NOC, NAAS, SAMS, SCSA, Problem Management, Change Management, Vendor Management, Incident Management, and overall SA analytical support. This role will also perform post deployment quality control analysis by evaluating initiatives post launch to ensure delivery meets expected outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Provides and conducts analytic efforts to support Service Assurance operations, which may include budget modeling.
Writes reports, creates charts, presentations, and timelines in support of Service Assurance operations.
Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods.
Assigned to large complexity projects for data compilation, reporting or dashboard needs, serving as an expert.
Interprets operational requirements for inclusion in studies and analyses.
Provides recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assists in policy development to support change initiatives.
Works with outside expertise engaged to assist or deliver analytic projects.
May write code to automate reports and templates and consolidate data into reports and knowledge.
Uses and may program statistical analysis software.
Supports capability development within the Service Assurance organization, including reviews and gap assessments, and works to source and deliver strategies.
Evaluates post deployment initiatives to ensure delivery meets expected outcome
Facilitates meetings and presentations to senior leadership.
Develops analytical tools and numerical modeling of complex operations systems and processes.
Qualifications:Minimum

5 or more years of experience in related field (ie, data analysis, metrics, dashboard reporting creation, etc.); 3 or more years of experience if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of Cox Communications and Cox Business customers
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, team environment
Strong relationship building skills
Strong programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data/analytic software/languages/tools; eg, Spark (ML, Mllib, Spark SQL), R (caret, ggplot2), Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn), Scala, Java, C++, Hive, SQL, SAS, Tableau, etc.
Strong communication skills. The ability to successfully comprehend and communicate advanced analytics artifacts, business insights, and resulting implications to non-technical business partners. Ability to work in a diverse team
Preferred
BS/BA degree in related discipline
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
Understanding of telecommunications network topology, applications, and tools to deliver communications services to customers (Voice, Video Data) for Residential, Commercial and Hospitality networks (including but not limited to: RPHY, DOCIS, Nokia, Juniper, ALU, Cisco networks, etc.)
Experience in at least one of the machine learning and deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow, Keras, Caffe, MXNet, Spark. Experience with writing complex programs in these and/or other environments
