Cox Communications is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who is an expert in reporting, analysis, and metrics. This individual will partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact operational results by making analytics actionable.

Primary Responsibilities Provide and conduct reporting and dashboard efforts to support technology and business operations Design and build reports, charts, dashboards, and analytics presentations in support of department or business operations Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods Interpret operational requirements for inclusion in reporting/dashboard projects Provide recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assist in policy development to support change initiatives May write code to automate reports and templates and consolidate data into reports/dashboards Support capability development within the delivery organization, including reviews and gap assessments and work to source and deliver strategies Essential Functions Tactical Thinking: Understand goals and objectives and sort through complex data sets to identify meaningful patterns/story lines related to the goal and objectives. Analytic Ability: Effectively use database/analytic tools like Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, API, and other similar tools. Uses these tools to convert data into insights that enable data-driven decision making. Data Management: Work with complex data from multiple sources. Identify useful data sets, ingest and clean/organize data and make it easy for end users to access and work with. Innovative Thinking: Drive and/or being willing to embrace innovative approaches/different ways of doing things. Challenge the status quo to get the best possible outcomes for the team and organization. Iterative Development: Interpret requirements for reporting/dashboards with the flexibility to modify solutions to meet the needs of the customer. Think ing beyond what the customer is asking for and into what they actually need. Developing Insights: Pull anomalies out of complex data sets. Cull and convert data into persuasive story lines. Tie analysis to the most important points and structures the storyline in a compelling manner. Cross-Functional: Partner with teams and stakeholders across organizational boundaries to develop solutions and achieve results. Business Presentation: Present compelling storylines to various audiences, including support managers, platform owners, and executive leadership. Change Management: Provide recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assist in policy development to support change initiatives. Qualifications: MinimumWhere permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job. (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.) 5 or more years of experience in related field (ie Reporting, Analytics, etc.) OR 2-3 years of experience in related field if candidate has an advanced degree Strong data analytic skill and ability to leverage statistical/database reporting software (SQL/Tableau/Alteryx) Experience with technology focused reporting (ie Engineering/IT/Network/Application performance) Strong ability to interpret data and develop actionable data-based visualizations to 'tell the story' and aid in business decision making Proven ability translating technical findings to Executives in a manner that is easily understandable to those less experienced with analytics Preferred Experience in analyses related to Technology/Communications/Software Development Tableau Certification Alteryx Certification BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (ie area with analytic focus such as Statistics, Quantitative Methods, and Mathematics etc.) Who We Are
