HIM Data Analyst # Position Highlights: The HIM Data Analyst primary responsibilities will be assisting in the maintenance of departmental databases, data transfers, writing system documentation, compiling reports and publishing dashboards.# The HIM Data Analyst secondary responsibilities will be assisting in performing systems reconciliation, system implementation, testing and troubleshooting, and maintaining the master patient index.# This position takes direction from both the Database Administrator/Developer and the Systems Analyst, as this position is a backup for both. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience working with relational database systems. The candidate will have programming experience using visual basic for applications (VBA) Responsibilities: Perform data transfers for departmental database systems Writing system documentation Compiling monthly reports and publishing dashboards for the department Work from reconciliation lists from departmental systems and make corrections and updates Work with multiple departments to implement test, and troubleshoot existing and new systems Merging patient accounts and demographic updates in Soarian and/or Cerner Credentials and Experience: Bachelor#s Degree Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) certification required Minimum of five (5) years# experience working with relational database systems: Maintenance, backups, and archives of departmental databases Working knowledge of structured query language (SQL) Experience with the following applications: Microsoft Access, Excel, and Visio, SQL Server or SQL Developer, Analytics applications like Tableau or Spotfire, 3M, Optum, Patient Keeper, and Cerner health information management systems. Minimum of three (3) years# experience working in an Health Information Management or Healthcare environment is required including: Maintaining the Master Patient Index (MPI) Systems implementation, testing and troubleshooting Performing system reconciliation #
