The role will primarily be focused on day to day fixes. This covers managing high level escalation of support tickets and liaising with customers, vendors and distributors. As company & client experience is gained, the role will also start to have a heavy involvement in on Pre-Sales, Design & Project implementation.
Technical design assistance for High level and Low Level Designs Providing technical advice and support on pre-sales opportunities Accompanying members of the Sales Team on client visits as required Assisting the Sales Team with information to support sales opportunities Compiling Statement of Work Documents
Onsite implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of equipment/environments Remote configuration, troubleshooting of equipment/environments Liaising with manufactures regarding product specific issues Data line implementation, configuration and troubleshooting Liaising with manufactures regarding product specific issues Statement of Work creation and peer reviewing Assist Network Team Leader with team planning, for example resource levels required at any given time to deliver projects etc
Fortinet Solutions - NSE Certifications Cisco Knowledge CCNP preferred (minimum of Networking & Security) ITIL - Foundation Excellent all-round troubleshooting skills Experience of working on site Experience of providing support via telephone and e-mail Experience working in a Network or Security support team Excellent knowledge of network environments (routing/switching/VLANS/Security/Wireless/etc) Knowledge of WAN technologies and troubleshooting WAN connectivity issues Knowledge of network monitoring software platforms such as SolarWinds/SIEM Understanding of ticket management systems
