Description
An exciting opportunity for a Technical Analyst to support the middleware platforms of our client, a leading firm in the financial services sector.
Skill-set Requirement
- Diploma/ Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent;
- Has 3-4 years of working experience supporting middleware applications using JBOSS, IBM WebSphere MQ and IBMs middleware / transformation products;
- Experience with Java Database connectivity (JDBC), Java Message service (JMS), MQ and integration of multiple messaging services;
- Experience in standalone as well as High availability clustered environment, load balancing and performance tuning;
- Familiar with the usage and installation of applications on Redhat Linux;
- Hands on experience with tools such as Jenkins, Nagios, EG monitor/ Dynatrace;
- Experience in managing logical volume and file system;
- Hands on in writing shell scripts and ansible for automation;
- Ability to provide weekly shift supporting off hours and weekend activity on rotational basis;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, and able to work well with cross-organizational teams;
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
Desirable Skills- Certification in Websphere9 / Jboss EAP;
- Knowledge on AWS DevOps / SysOps.
Job Responsibilities
- Deploy, Administer, Support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces;
- Involved in the configuration of DMZ Environment;
- Responsible for the development and testing of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server and Security Vulnerability;
- Triaging and resolving issues with WebSphere and associated technologies;
- Responsible for trouble shooting of WAS environment and applications such as Java core, head dumps, trace logs etc;
- Involved in configuring DNS, Iptables and provide support to SMTP services;
- Performance tuning WAS, WPS by configuring caching, queuing, pooling, heapsize and optimizing other JVM parameters;
- Provide day-to-day management of critical services, server performance which would include monitoring of CPU, disk space and memory utilization and scripting;
- Assist in the planning, implementing and supporting of new technology solutions;
- Carry out system maintenance including installation, troubleshooting, disaster recovery and jobs monitoring;
- Provide break-fix solutions on hardware/software when needed.
