Marcus Donald is looking to hire an Information Security Governance Officer with experience in the financial services industry, to join our exciting remote team.
As a Security Governance Officer you will Coordinate development, maintenance and monitoring of security policies and procedures across the organization while ensuring that such policies conform to regulatory standards. Align our operations with best practice while assisting in day-to-day operations.
*This a home based position with minimal travel involved*
Information Governance Officer - Requirements:
Solid Experience various security standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS)An understanding of the Information Security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage themWorking knowledge of Security Policies, Standards and strategies.Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trendsVerbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non-technical team members and other relevant individuals.Technical skills in conducting security assessment against established security frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI)The ability to multitask and prioritise your workloadExcellent attention to detail. Information Governance Officer - Responsibilities: Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developmentsResearch/evaluate emerging Information security threats and ways to manage themPlan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breachesMonitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activityCreate and Review Information Security Policies, Procedures and standardsGovern the operations of the organization and protect its critical assetsIdentify potential weaknesses and implement remedial measures.Investigate security alerts and provide incident responseMonitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system usersLiaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendationsGenerate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholdersMaintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information securityMonitor and respond to phishing emails and pharming activityAssist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.
