Senior Project Manager - Global Voice and Data Networks Long-Term Contract Overview - Fortune 500 client is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to run a Global Voice Deployment Project. Description: Prior Infrastructure project management experience required to lead a Global Voice project, dealing with Microsoft Teams Voice Deployment. Will be expected to lead projects dealing with replacing and/or upgrading Voice/Telephony systems globally, while accounting for different requirements by site. Will work directly with our business customers in developing, deploying, and supporting Telecom/IT solutions. As such will need to understand customer requirements, as well as manage customers changing needs throughout installs, while also maintaining technical alignment with key stakeholders. Candidate should possess knowledge of the following: o Global Voice and Data Networks. o Network and Session Border Controller (SBC) equipment design. o Design and support of diverse business networks, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and networking with Microsoft Windows Server. o Firewall Security & Configuration/Implementation of both VoIP and Private Branch Exchanges (PBX). Specific duties and tasks of the role may include: o Review and submission of all Letters of Authorization and copies of bills necessary to proceed with Porting Process. o Ordering all necessary equipment needed to complete the Installation based on Sales Order. o Working with the team to troubleshoot network issues that arise and review Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) traces. Strong project management skillset needed, including proven ability to lead and drive project success. Should be well organized with the ability to review and track the project schedule end to end. Provide execution coordination during cutover events, including planned sequence tracking, issues/risks, and escalation where required. Must be a self-starter, able to manage a variety of projects, and be able to communicate to leadership. Will conduct meetings with project team members and key stakeholders, publishing meeting minutes. Will manage weekly and monthly progress reporting, as well as tracking project financials for budget adherence. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills given the high degrees of strategic impact, change, project complexity, and potential senior executive interactions. Will work with a matrixed team and multiple vendors. Candidate should be an experienced (12+ years required) Project Manager with a focus on Infrastructure project management (with voice project experience as outlined above). Specific Responsibilities: Drive Project Success and Completion: Understand and drive leadership of the project to success. Build key relationships with stakeholders, mentor team members and demonstrate leadership at all levels. Initiate and Plan Project: Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, financials, and deliverables. Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect the project, working with business and IT management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget. Executing and Closing Project: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Leads team in delivering project scope. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders. Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to project teams, business, and IT management. Makes recommendations based on current project status to resolve issues and manage risks. Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities. Motivates project team to deliver project outcomes. Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and functional policies and procedures. Decisions: Make decisions that impact project level activities. Drive Continuous Improvement of Project Process and Governance: Will continually examine Plans/Risks/Issues to identify gaps in project communication or process, and holding project team accountable for improvement, to drive proactive solutions as the project is ongoing.
