In this position you will provide full-spectrum TEST & EVALUATION ENGINEERING SUPPORT to various USAF acquisition programs within the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide operationally relevant Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineering support to assist with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) technology development activities that identify, analyze, evaluate, test, certify, and implement new capabilities.
Provide engineering support to the AFLCMC/WI technology transition group by monitoring Government laboratories and contractor's technology development efforts and assist with coordinating the transition planning of those technologies to Air Force programs of record.
Possess knowledge of DoD acquisition management in aircraft weapons, electronic warfare, small and large UAS, platform power generation, avionics, and ISR systems.
Apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of the DoD to include DoD 5000.01 and DoD 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes of USAF, HQ AFMC, AFLCMC Engineering Directorate, ISR & SOF Directorate and Division level to all AFLCMC/WIN engineering tasks.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, from an ABET accredited program is required. Engineering Management and Engineering Technology type degrees do not fulfil this requirement.
A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 4 years of experience on DoD acquisition programs/projects is required.
Requires a DoD Top Secret clearance (SSBI within the past five years) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI-DCID 6/4) eligibility on the first day of employment.
Direct, relevant test and evaluation (T&E) experience on US DoD programs, either during the developmental or operational evaluation phases.
Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Possess the ability to understand and assimilate highly complex technical information, and assist in the assessment, operational planning, testing, and transition of technology to support new USAF programs of record.
Graduate of the US Air Force Test Pilot School (USAFTPS) or the US Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS).
Familiarity with multiple intelligence disciplines to include, but not limited to: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Hyperspectral Imaging, and Sense and Avoid (SAA) Systems.
