Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading software clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

Develop software for our product suiteReview and contribute to user story definition and detailed technical designsDevelop software and unit tests against those detailed designsValidate engineering estimates and timescales, and take responsibility for meeting the resulting deadlinesMaintain current technical documentation at the code, design and user levelsMaintain the software on an ongoing basisLiaise with our dedicated customer success team to assist with troubleshooting and fixing customer raised defects

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Deep knowledge of a JavaScript framework, ideally Angular, but ExtJS or React will also be consideredCommercial experience in using modern UI/UX using SCSS/CSS3/HTML5Commercial experience with UI component libraries such as PrimeNGCommercial experience with backends such as CouchDB and MySQLDeep knowledge of Unix/LinuxDeep knowledge of control systems such as GitCommercial experience in continuous integration environmentsExperience in writing unit and end-to-end testsProven ability to quickly assimilate new technologies and skillsExperience of working within an agile scrum team

Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

Knowledge of our primary languages: Python/Cython, PerlExperience in Redux or NGRXCommercial experience in testing with automated frameworks
