The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Shared Services Platform (SSP) at Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as the Process Engineer, a Principal Engineer Systems position out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Summary

The SWDC contract is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO). This position implements the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)/Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) process in all its phases and manages computer network defense (CND) in accordance with DoD regulations. Responsibilities include obtaining and maintaining system Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) packages; developing and maintaining CND policies and procedures; identifying, documenting, reporting and correcting system vulnerabilities; and managing cyber incident response.

Responsibilities include: Good understanding of IT networks and systems and the cyber controls necessary to secure them.Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), NIST 800-53 Security Controls and ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria to formulate and implement effective high quality RMF accreditation packages.Experience conducting CND operations in a DoD environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.Strong writing skills to produce the coherent and concise documentation required for certification evaluationAbility to create and work within schedules and timelines. Review software requests (code libraries, 3rd Party or overall new software) for Release Trains regarding approval to incorporate into dev environments or delivered code.Risk Management Framework (RMF) Control plan standardization and improvements across all MSS products.Software Assurance (SwA) support to current SwA lead and assisting with ensuring planned and systematic processes conform to cyber requirements, standards and procedures.Cyber support to other SWDC Task Orders may occur. Requirements : Level 3: Minimum of 5 Years of experience with a BS Degree or 3 experience Years with a Masters degree in STEM or related fields.Level 4: Minimum of 9 Years of experience with a BS Degree or 7 experience Years with a Masters degree in STEM or related fields.Must possess a DoD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program IAM Level II Approved Baseline Certification or equivalentWorking knowledge of NIST/DoD RMF controls and processes.Working knowledge verifying system compliance with DISA STIGs.Understanding of boundary protection devices, including Firewalls and IPS devices and their relationship to network topologies.Active DoD Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Active DoD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program CNDSP Approved Baseline Certification.Current certification in one or more of the following: CISSP, CSSLP, GCIA, CEH, GCIH, SCYBER, SSCP, CSIH, GCFA,Experience in the configuration and/or operation of ACAS or HBSS/ESSActive Secret Clearance Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
