Summary

The incumbent shall be responsible for the overall IT support and maintenance of the Company. He/she needs to identify, develop and implement IT strategies and solutions to achieve the business objectives.

He/she needs to ensure the networks is stable, secure and running with minimum downtime.

He/she will also be responsible for the maintenance of other office equipment such as telephone, photo-copier machine, security alarm system etc.

The role shall include but not limited to:

1. Manage Information Technology And Computer Systems

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of all information systems and serversIdentify and develop contingency operation plans for all application environmentDevelop, document and implement standards, procedures, and guidelines for the operation and maintenance of the Company's IT systemsConsult computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements, ensuring that the project is executed within the given budget and time.Engage and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop and implement computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systemsRecommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating the company's IT needs identifying problems evaluating trends anticipating requirementsDevelop, implement and manage security and backup proceduresEnsure compliance with software licensing lawsAccomplishe financial objectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances initiating corrective actions.

2. Ensure Technology Is accessible and eEquipped with current/updated hardware and software

Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system. Test and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliablyVerify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implementedTo provide orientation and train new users of existing technology eg finger scanning, alarm system, telephone systemManage secure network access for remote users

3. Monitor And Maintain Technology To Ensure Maximum Access

Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resourcesMaintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenanceInstallation of work stations including setting up of hardware and softwareInput and maintain IP addressesIdentify and prepare hardware for upgrade or disposal when appropriateIdentify and schedule software updates on all computers

4. General

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks benchmarking state-of-the-art practices participating in professional societiesProvides all IT related support to the senior managementUndertakes and manages relevant IT projects as requiredMentor, lead and develop IT staff to perform IT related functions in accordance to Company's standardTroubleshoot and assist Management & staff on presentation on software especially Powerpoint & AutoCadAssist in setting-up meetings through Skype, Go-to-meeting etcOrientate new users on all Company's IT related matters including secruity system, phone system and door access system in the office

Pre-requisites

At least a Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalentMinimum 3 years IT hand-on experience in setting up and maintaining network and server infrastructureSound experience in Windows and Mac operating systemsGood knowledge in Windows and Mac servers, database/application/web/file/mail/network servers and experience with backup and recovery systemsBroad technical knowledge in IT systems and infrastructures, and good knowledge in the functional areas like IT and facilities management, IT security, network and end-user support managementGood knowledge and understanding of applying emerging technologies, business best practices, and overall IT market trends, to support evolving IT needs of the CompanyStrong analytical and organizational skills to resolve technical, management and operational issuesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills is essentialHighly motivated and able to work independently and in a team.Able to work well with othersProactive and excellent in problem solvingMay be required to work beyond office hours
