Visa is a data-driven company from the top down, presenting continuous opportunities for the Global Data and Business Intelligence team to deliver innovative insights and business intelligence (BI) solutions. Our internal business intelligence applications are used globally by all business lines to drive product and business strategies, build customer loyalty, and identify new opportunities/threats for Visa and our partners. We are also in charge of creating a Single Source of Truth to further strengthen data driven decision making internally and for our clients.
The Global Business Intelligence User Success team through training, communication, collaboration, and voice of the BI user community, empowers everyone at Visa to easily and effectively use data to make better business decisions.
What an Analyst does at Visa:
The Analyst of Data Solutions Management role within the Global BI User Success team will have the following key responsibilities:
Develop good understanding of the Visa business, process, data/BI platform (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Denodo, Hadoop) and maintain awareness of current industry trends, products and techniques
Collaborate with internal customers and BI platform users to understand business asks and assist them through providing guidance on data, reports or dashboards.
Identify, communicate, track, analyze and troubleshoot production issues, and take responsibility for ongoing incidents, owning problems through to implementation
Utilize Visas data analytics capabilities, technology, and industry expertise to develop, standardized and implement solutions.
Based on user feedback and business need, collaborate with product team to propose product enhancement requests and assist in implementation (e.g., design, testing)
Understand business processes, create process flow, and identify process improvement opportunities to maximize operating efficiency
Adhere with user communications (either broad, group-basis, or individual communication) processes established in the team and effectively manage user communications in a timely manner
Collaborate with the rest of team to set up efficient product knowledge system. Maintain product/platform documentation and user guides
Assist of updating training materials and participating in online and face-to-face training of users
Manage various internal project execution and stakeholder communication

The Global BI User Success team with various cultural backgrounds serves all geographies including North and South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. The team collaborates with BI users across the globe to understand their business needs and provide viable solutions thus enabling a data driven decision making culture in Visa.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 PERCENTof the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What you will need:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelors Degree or an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD) in a technical discipline
The desirable candidate shall have most of the following knowledge, skills or demonstrated experience:
3years of relevant work experience
At least 1 year of Business Intelligence (e.g., MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI) and/or database/analysis (e.g., Hive, Teradata, Oracle) experience
Experience on interpreting data and analyzing results using BI Tools like Tableau/PowerBI
Experience in SQL or VB and other programing languages (Python, SAS, etc.)
Strong understanding of Big Data/Hadoop Environment concepts
Strong logical, and problem-solving skills (the ability and determination to find the cause of problems and identify solutions)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
Must work well in a highly collaborative, matrixed, and team-oriented environment
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible solutions and optimally communicate strategy and risk mitigation approaches to leadership.
Quick learner with strong organization and project management skills
Strong work ethic (initiative, time management, critical thinking)
Thinks with a customer-first mindset when approaching an issue
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
What will also help:
Visa experience or knowledge of payments industry is a plus
Experience in Hadoop technologies (e.g., MapReduce, Hive etc.) or data virtualization (e. g. Denodo) is a plus
