Viral marketing, viral advertising, or marketing buzz are buzzwords referring to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networking services and other technologies to try to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes. It can be delivered by word of mouth or enhanced by the network effects of the Internet and mobile networks.

The practice of hosting a desktop operating system within a virtual machine (VM) running on a centralized server. VDI is a variation on the client/server computing model, sometimes referred to as server-based computing.

A.k.a virtual drive or a RAM drive, is a file that represents as a physical disk drive to a guest operating system. The file maybe configured on the host and also on a remote file system. 

A virtual fax, also called as an "Internet fax", is a fax sent and received online, without the use of an actual fax machine. It uses IP networks to transport faxes instead of PSTN as its means of transporting a fax document.

A disk image file format for storing the complete contents of a hard drive. The disk image, sometimes called a virtual machine, replicates an existing hard drive and includes all data and structural elements. 

Virtual hosting is a method for hosting multiple domain names (with separate handling of each name) on a single server (or pool of servers). This allows one server to share its resources, such as memory and processor cycles, without requiring all services provided to use the same host name. The term virtual hosting is usually used in reference to web servers but the principles carry over to other internet services.

The arrangement of resources (processors, memory, disks, network adapters and the user interface) assigned to a virtual machine. Configuration refers to both the specific elements included and the way those elements are set up.
