V1.4 06/2017: In Azure storage section of the course, 15 new lectures and hands-on exercises has been added on Azure storage architecture, blobs, files, tables, queues, creation of stored access policies using Azure power shell, Storage monitoring, setting up retention and logging levels using client library.
Microsoft Azure is the fastest growing cloud platform in the world. This course is designed to help you to build strong foundation in Microsoft Azure. No prior Azure experience required. This course has been designed with an architectural approach.
In the first overview section of the course, I will introduce you to the breadth of Azure (theory lectures only) i.e. take you through all key azure services at high level.
Once overview is completed, we will deep dive into following layers of Azure architecture with several hands on exercises
- Storage - Storage account, Blobs, Tables, Queues, Security, Monitoring
- Network - Virtual network, Network security group, NIC, UDR, Load balancer, Application Gateway
- Compute - Virtual machine, Auto scaling, Azure functions and batch
- App services - Web Apps, Logic Apps, API Apps, Mobile Apps, API management, CDN etc.
- Databases - SQL database, Document DB, Data Warehouse and Data factory
- Analytics - Data Lake Store, Analytics, Power BI etc.
- Internet of things (IoT) - IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, Event hubs etc.
