As a computer user, you can’t be unfamiliar with Recycle Bin, which is used frequently when you perform deletion action on hard disk. Recently, Recycle Bin recovery is often talked about among people. Why? That is simply because users tend to make mistakes during file deletion – the unhelpful files may be left over while some really significant data are deleted from hard drive.

In general, delete files, folders, pictures, shortcuts, and Web pages are frequently found in Recycle Bin and those files will be kept there until we further delete them, empty the Recycle Bin or until the total size of deleted data exceeds the maximum limit. In many cases, we could recover deleted items from Recycle Bin easily after realizing we need to use those items.
Like the Recycle Bin in Windows, Mac also has a similar unit called Trash, which is also mainly used to save deleted files in computer, providing a regret chance for users. After clicking on the icon of Trash Bin in the Dock, users will see a Finder window opening on the computer screen.
Right click on the file(s) or folder(s) and make it (or them) highlighted and then choose Move to Trash.

How to recover deleted files from empty recycle bin?

After we accidentally delete important files by hitting the "Delete" button, we may look for them in the Recycle Bin. On most occasions, we will find the deleted files in that folder, but what if the Recycle Bin was emptied after the deletion? Does it mean the files/data are permanently gone?

The answer is "NO" - with right methods and a little luck we could always get back what we lost, if the deletion was not made too long ago:

When we emptied the Recycle Bin, the files in it disappeared, but actually they were not removed from the computer yet - the data still existed on the hard disk in raw formats. They would stay there until they were overwritten by new data. Before that we always have a chance to extract and restore them. And that`s what data recovery tools help us to do.

Before performing the data recovery from an emptied recycle bin, we need:

- An effective data recovery software
- Stop throwing any new file into the Recycle Bin
- Do it as soon as possible to increase the chance of a full recovery
