Ecommerce is a booming sector in the United States. It is growing at a massive pace over the past few years.

Statistics predict revenue from online sales to reach 434 billion US dollars by 2017. In the United States, Amazon forms the only online retailer with the maximum number of visitors of 164 million, as per the records until 2014 1st quarter.

The online retail websites offer the comfort of shopping from anywhere at our convenience. Moreover, the online stores display a galore of options of the products we require, with detailed feature descriptions. These further enable us to have a clearer view of the products enabling a satisfying purchase.

In addition, the rise in the number of Smartphone users is also contributing largely to mobile e commerce. With the given statistics, in the recent future we expect to witness an enormous rise in mobile online retail of about $31 billion by 2017.

We expect online sales to form 11% of the total retail revenue annually by 2017. This rise in consumer dependency on online shopping heightens the need for better and more reliable online presence of the retailers. Also, the boost in the number of Smartphone and Tablet users, further raise the demand for mobile online retailers. There is intense demand for more secure online transactions, proper product pages, etc. There is a need for the websites to contain useful and informative content to be successful in generating their target sales. They convert the viewers to buyers.

The retail websites need to draw their focus on the newer features to optimize the conversion rate. The websites must be able to track the viewer activities and movement. All these factors work hand in hand, facilitating the retailers to convert the traffic or viewers to leads, bookings and finally revenue.

Therefore, to ensure a satisfying mobile shopping there is a need for greater advancement of the retail websites.
