1. Use this command in order to add Snap-in PowerShell.
Add-PSSnapin microsoft.exchange.management.powershell.e2010
2. Make a different folder for saving Converted file from Exchange database file.
3. Right-click the folder > Click Properties > Choose Share Folder option.
4. Set its permissions to Read/Write and just click the Share button.
5. Now, copy shared folder’s path and save name of path somewhere.
6. Then, run the command mentioned below to get PST files from EDB.
New-MailboxExportRequest –Mailbox MailboxName –FilePath EnterFilePath
Here, MailboxName is EDB mailboxes that you want to convert and EnterFilePath is folder’s path where PST files will be saved. However, the command line of PowerShell may vary with different versions of Exchange like:
Export-Mailbox – used for Exchange 2007 to PST
ExportMailboxRequests – used for Exchange 2010 to PST
New-MailboxExportRequest – used for Exchange 2013 to PST
NOTE: User can perform the above conversion process only if they have deep technical knowledge and are aware of PowerShell command or else it might prove to be quite a tedious task. If users find it complex then, go for the below-mentioned process to execute the conversion.
b) Fast Method or Automated Solution
