Top executives have indicated there is a growing customer demand and the uptake of emerging product and service categories have manifested its affinity to the emerging trends in information technology advancement. What follows is a collective sentiment of growth of the many industries that are actively embracing IT solutions for their businesses and organizations.

A leading IT-based insider consensus forecast projects growth of 5.0 percent across the global tech sector in 2018. If all factors fall into place, the upside of the forecast could drive further growth by no less than 7% or more. As the International Data Corporation pits it, global information technology spending is expected to reach an all-time high of $4.8 trillion in 2018 and the U.S. accounts for approximately $1.5 trillion of it.

2018 is expected to be the start of something really big for IT consulting firms that offer robust and extensive IT solutions consulting services.
Phenomenal market growth due to IT-driven solutions
An important dynamic in understanding the global information technology industry is the flow of tech goods and services from source country to consuming country, which is expected to grow to new heights for 2018.
Based on available data from 2016 US exports of tech products and services reached an estimated $309 billion. Exports accounted for approximately $1 out of every $4 generated in the U.S. tech industry, which accounted for an even higher percentage of sales and some generating more than half of their revenue from overseas customers.
More demand, less Supply
The demand for more IT-based specialists and experts will continue to dwarf supply, which means the market will still be rife for more IT-related warm bodies just to fill in the gaps. Nearly four in 10 US IT companies reported having job openings and are competitively recruiting candidates for technical positions. Hiring is more prevalent among large- and medium-size firms.
Among hiring employers, more than half claim to do so for reasons of business expansion, while the other half call new skills in areas such as software development, internet of things (IoT) or data science. A third of these companies acknowledge the hires are replacements for workers who voluntarily or involuntarily left the company driven by conditions of a growing and robust economy.
Artificial intelligence

AI has gone to great strides in optimizing and enhancing services and manufacturing as we know it. One recent example is the collaboration of e-commerce giant Amazon, JP Morgan, and Berkshire Hathaway to establish a healthcare program with AI-driven operational systems.

This follows after recent studies have proven AI effective in diagnosing disease faster and more accurate than doctors. This is just the tip of the iceberg and it won’t be long before we see AI integrated systems and networks for other lines of business other than healthcare.

There are a lot more positive outlook for IT in 2018, better watch out and take advantage of the technology as early as possible.
