What are the differences between Lotus Notes and MS Outlook?

Data Storage: MS Outlook stores its informative data in the PST format and Lotus Notes uses NSF format to store the data files.

User Interface: Outlook offers the interactive and user-friendly GUI, which is easy to understand and manage the users without any difficulty. But Lotus Notes is not providing you the clear and manageable interface. Little hard to work with its interface.

Security: In terms of security Lotus Notes provides you the reliable application, you can even code your emails to restrict the unwanted accessibility. But Outlook is not offering secured application, it only provides you the mail filter options by which you can exclude the spam or junk mail from the main inbox.
