Lotus Notes is an application suite that contains many components like Email, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, journals, etc. It act as an email client similar to MS Outlook but with added components. Notes Storage Facility (NSF) is the database that is supported by both IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Domino Server. NSF acts as a storage pool for storing data that contains all the information associated with a Notes Account. This page will be discussing on how we can merge multiple NSF files into one.
Why Merging of Lotus Notes Database NSF Files is Necessary?
There are many scenarios where we need to combine our NSF Files together. Some are stated as below:
  • When we have multiple NSF files of multiple Lotus Notes account and want them to be managed collectively then, we can merge all the files into one and easily manage all the data at once. It gives easy access to multiple NSF files data at once saving our time.
  • When we have our old data in one File and our new data in another Lotus Notes File, we can combine both the contents of two files together by merging. Hence, management of different databases becomes easy.
  • When we need to merge different Files in single NSF and keep the file as a common backup/archive file. This backup file may be used in future for reference.

Merging Lotus Notes Database With NSF Merger

It is quite clear that there exists no manual workaround for merging multiple Lotus Notes databases together. That is why we need a third party application tool like NSF Merge Tool to merge multiple Lotus Notes database Files into a single output, which promotes easy manageability. The tool supports two merging options- Join and Merge. The Join option will join the multiple NSF files in a single NSF file, where each file is assigned as different folders with its components intact. The second option is Merge that is used to merge the similar folders of multiple NSF Files into a single folder. In addition to the Merge option, the tool provides option to exclude duplicate items is there is any.

NSF Merge Tool is the perfect utility if you want to combine multiple lotus notes files in one single file. This tool join NSF database files by creating new folder for each selected NSF database file. I suggest you should go for SysInfoTool NSF Merge that let the user, consolidate unlimited Lotus Notes archive database. More info at:- http://www.nsfsecurityremover.com/nsf-merge.html
